10/10/2025

The eleventh annual edition of the Industrial Tourism Week (STI) is scheduled to take place from October 17 to 26, 2025. This event, orchestrated by the Industrial Tourism Network of Catalonia (XATIC) – SMITour partner – will feature an extensive and varied schedule of activities across the region. Over the course of these nine days, various museums, enterprises, and historical sites will grant public access, effectively illuminating Catalonia’s rich industrial heritage and demonstrating its contemporary significance through experiential and immersive activities.

The Industrial Tourism Week features a comprehensive programme that includes expert-led tours, hands-on workshops, curated exhibitions, family-oriented events, specialized routes, and unique culinary encounters.

Throughout the seven days, various sites will host special access days and bespoke events intended to facilitate a deep appreciation for the functionality of historic machinery, the intricacies of manufacturing processes, and the industrial narrative that has fundamentally shaped the socio-economic trajectory of Catalonia. Consequently, the Industrial Tourism Week represents a prime opportunity to partake in a distinctive and actively engaging form of sustainable tourism.

Operating under the slogan “Discover how things are done”, the Industrial Tourism Network of Catalonia (XATIC) reaffirms its dedication to the promotion of Catalan industrial heritage and the advancement of cultural and experiential tourism.
