On next Tuesday 5 March, within the initiatives developed in the occasion of the SMITour kick off event, the project lead partner Municipality of Prato organizes “SMART Industrial Tourism in the Mediterranean” an interesting workshop which will be held at the Museo del Tessuto premises introducing the general context of the project and an overview of local and European good practices in the field of industrial tourism and of the most advanced technologies developed to make the best use of heritage.
The event will feature an opening by the European Route of Industrial Heritage, a network that, with 350 members in 27 countries, connects the most important sites of industrial archaeology in Europe with the aim of enhancing the common industrial archaeological heritage through itineraries and guided tours, presentations and transnational events.
The workshop will be open to the live public from 2.30 pm and it will also be available through online streming on the museum’s YouTube channel
