This Brussels event will expand dialogues on the Interreg Euro-MED Network of Sustainable Tourism Observatories (NSTO) and its role in promoting data-driven policies for sustainable tourism. This second working group meeting seeks to bolster institutional collaboration, improve data-sharing approaches, and explore innovative solutions for sustainable tourism across the Mediterranean region. As part of the Interreg Euro-MED Program’s Sustainable Tourism Mission, the NSTO unites policymakers, institutions, and stakeholders to enable knowledge exchange and drive the shift towards more sustainable and resilient tourism models. The network aligns with key global and regional frameworks, including the EU Transition Pathway for Tourism and the Glasgow Declaration for Climate Action in Tourism, ensuring contributions to sustainable development goals. The Euro-MED Dialogue4Tourism Project leads this working group, supported by the Community4Tourism Project, and it integrates the Thematic Projects of the Sustainable Tourism Mission as a platform for discussion. Currently, the Observatory has 40 institutional members, representing a wide network of stakeholders. These members are part of the partnerships and associated partnerships of the former Interreg MED, fostering Mediterranean cooperation. Additionally, the Observatory is initiating collaboration with various Thematic Projects of the Interreg Euro-MED Sustainable Tourism Mission.
